We have recently installed a microFit project on an apartment building at  99 Winniett St. in Brantford. The installed solar panels will produce 5kW of power for every hour of sunshine
(or 5kWh of energy). This was the first microFIT project in Brantford.

Landlord John Tylak has come up with a way to generate more revenue from his 99 Winniett St. apartment building without raising the rent. He has installed 26 solar panels on the roof of the four-unit building to generate revenue for him and energy for the Ontario Power Authority. "It's just like adding another tenant to the building," Tylak said. "It's a static system, it doesn't move around and it doesn't require any maintenance.  And it comes with a 25-year warranty." (Brantford Expositor; April 7, 2010).
